Sarulla Power Plant, built with a capacity of 330MW with a total project cost of $1.6 billion, is the world’s largest single geothermal power plant project. This geothermal power plant draws 200°C of steam and heat from the basement and produces electric energy through turbines. It is supplied to 210,000 Indonesian households. This project is one of the major overseas projects of Kunhwa Plant Business Dept. and is regarded as a case of successful overseas business joint ventures with private companies.
