Kunhwa is active in industrial, power, and environmental plant engineering. Furthermore, we are diversifying our services into areas of new renewable energy, to meet demand for low-carbon green growth. Kunhwa is particularly committed to formulating programs for the efficient use of energy and the conservation of natural resources, as well as the development of practical technology for food waste collection and processing, eco-incineration, waste heat recovery systems, waste recycling and reuse, and much more.

Kunhwa has contributed to develop the quality of renewable technology through the implementation of renewable energy project, namely solar energy, bio-energy, waste recycling, wind power, geothermal heat, hydrogen fuel cell, Integrated coal-gasification combined-cycle power system (IGCC) as well as seawater desalination plant. Especially, Kunwa has achieved full experience of integrated design performance in cogeneration system simultaneously supplying heat and electricity, based on the case of Wonju Green Gas-fired Combine Cycle Combustion turbine plant (GCCC).

Kunhwa has conducted environmental impact assessments before and after the implementation of development projects of various industrial complexes, roads, railways, and residential sites, and has been in charge of various environmental assessment projects ranging from large-scale development projects such as Incheon International Airport, Gwangju Railway yard and Innovative City of Jeju.
In particular, the post-environmental study of the Hai Thermal Power Plant in Goseong is a large-scale project that recorded the highest contract amount for a single project in the Kunhwa’s history of the environmental assessment.
