Kunhwa strives to create a harmony between the demands of urban living and the surrounding environment, and make people’ lives comfortable while balancing the nature and culture.
We have accumulated extensive project experiences in urban renewal and revitalization as well as new town planning. In addition, Kunhwa has seen how flash flooding problems caused by climate change have become a critical issue in urban areas worldwide in recent years.
We are now involved in massive underground flood retention and drainage tunnel projects in flood-susceptible areas of downtown, Seoul.
Among many urban planning and renewal projects we’ve undertaken, the Bismayah New City project in Iraq, currently in progress, illuminates Kunhwa’s vision in balancing nature, culture, and history. In urban design, we respect the past and a nation’s unique culture as we engineer the future.
